Cori Rose smiles at the sun, as the waves pour around her feet, burring them in the sand. She looks down and imagines herself as a flower. She lets out an akward and loud laugh, and covers her mouth in embarrassment, and looks around to see if anyone else noticed. No they haden't, she was safe.
The waves poured around her feet again, burring her feet deeper in the sand. Cori imagined humans as flowers, but then brushed away the thoguht, and said to herself, "No, we're more like weeds."
Cori was so lost in her thought, that she didn't notice the little boy in front of her. the little boy just stood there, glaring at her puzzeled. He finally picked up the courage and said, "HEY GIRL!" Cori snapped out of her trance and looked down at the little boy. "You're in my way," the little boy pointed at the mote that he was building for his sand castle. Cori moved out of his way, as she glanced at the footprints that followed behind her. She thought to herself, "that's what we do, we leave foot prints."
The waves again, washed acros the shore and washed them away. "The earth seems to always clean up our mess, always cleaning up behind us." She frowned and crossed her arms, "One day, the earth won't be able to keep up." The little boy in the distance yelled in the background, "I DID IT!"
The water filled the mote around his castle, and his smile streched from ear to ear. His castle, like our creations, towered over its' surroundings. His castle, is like our past, is like a piece of history that will be washed away and long forgotten.
Cori thought, "Am I like the castle?"
